Cycle for Girls 2013

On the 1st of March, 2013, one of our intrepid quilters Maureen Markwell is leaving her sewing room,  putting her bike shoes on and cycling 400 km from Vietnam to Cambodia to support a global social movement for positive and sustainable change in the lives of girls.

Girls in developing countries are among the most disadvantaged people on the planet.  Education is one of the strongest tools for embowering girls to lift themselves and their families out of poverty.

The Cycle for Girls 2013 mission is basically: Educated girls will become smart women and productive adults.

Sunshine Linus supports Maureen and her colleagues in her fund-raising endeavours and wishes Maureen every success.  If you'd like to support Maureen, here's a link to the Plan donation page.
