Activity Day: Monday 14 June

A chilly start to our Activity Day warranted an early cup of tea to help 'thaw out' some of the participants before getting started on cutting out and making hospital gowns, tactile mats, card holders and cutting fabric to make Disappearing Nine Patch Quilts.

Kay giving refresher instructions on how to make card holders.

Marie sewing card holders and assisted by Fay and Carole.

A selection of completed card holders.

A production team for cutting, sewing and overlocking hospital gowns comprised  Pam, Lisa, Jill, Yvonne, Lynne and Sharon.

Sharon finishing off the hospital gowns on her overlocker.

Crotchet guru Jenny showing Pam some special tips on how to do a magic circle and a running stitch marker.

Jenny putting the final touches to the construction of her latest weighted cat.

Virginia, our newest member who joined on Monday, receiving expert instruction on how to make blockenspeils.

Once again, Marion performed a much appreciated service providing beverages to keep us hydrated and warm throughout the morning.

Another successful Activity Day with much talking, drinking, eating and lots of completed projects.
