Another successful sales table was held under the supervision of Elaine with lots of wonderful treasures to purchase. These included jams, lovely muffins baked by Marion, plants and some adorable soft toys such as a pair of 'mother/daughter' chickens made by Claire.
A large number of beautiful quilts were produced by the 'Quilters' including these two quilts - the truck centrepiece and sailing boats have been paper pieced.
Dorothy was busy this month and produced two children's quilts and a lovely masculine 'Waltzing Matilda' quilt using a tea towel as the centre.
Another wonderful wall hanging has been created by Claire for a new client - Banksia Beach State School, Bribie Island. This wall hanging is based on the Aboriginal Dreamtime Story 'Tiddalik the Frog' who was so thirsty that he drank up all the rivers and billabongs in the land and the animals met to work out how to make Tiddalik laugh to release all of the water he had drunk.
This is Tiddalik laughing and releasing the water back to the land.
Dorothy thought that a lot of people need hugs at the moment and made these adorable 'huggles' that can be worn as a brooch over a button or slipped onto a finger, only limited by your imagination.

The next meeting will be an Activity Day on Monday 16th August. There will be three projects to choose from a 'Jagged X's' quilt with Kay, a Corner to Corner crocheted rug with Jenny or polar fleece shawls/capes.
Jagged X's quilt requirements:
Fabric: Jelly Roll or equivalent and 2 metres background fabric.
Preparation: Jelly Roll and background fabric - 10 strips cut into 2.5 x 3.5 inch rectangles - to start.
Crocheted rug requirements:
Yarn and crochet hook.
Polar fleece shawls/capes requirements:
Sewing machines or cutting implements.
