Sixteen ladies attended Sunshine Linus second Activity Day for 2021 and once again it was a very productive and social occasion.
Kaye (President) was one of the first to get to work busying herself with maintenance on the Sunshine Linus over-locker.
The aim of the day was to make various sized drawstring bags for Care Outreach Coolum and another group of ladies from the 'sensory team' spent the morning creating a range of 'touchy feely' items. Many of these items are requested by various care organizations on the Sunshine Coast.
Marion explains the instructions for making the bags. |
Margaret and Elaine kept themselves occupied sorting fabric ready to be cut.
Marie and Pam set to work cutting out the bags. |
Sharon put her over-locker to good use sewing the seams on the drawstring bags.
Linda displayed some of the 'touchy feely' items from storage to get some inspiration.
Barbara shares some thoughts with Rosemary, Linda and Judy. |
Rosemary and Linda discuss ideas. |
It's amazing what you find when you go rummaging through the storage boxes as Lisa found out!
Marion made sure the team was supplied with refreshments.
A big welcome to our newest member Beth! Beth was happy to lend a hand threading the drawstring bags.
