However, this month was extra special as Sunshine Linus celebrated their 7th birthday. The meeting was addressed by first President and founder, Judie B and 8 of the original members were present to cut the cake.
Attendance was high and the following shots show some of those in the room.
The distribution table challenged our team who sorted and labelled and packed dozens of items for dispatch.
The rear of the quilt shows their possible trajectory on the world scale.
Animal themes this month included the paper pieced fox quilt by Anne,
dinosaurs by Liz,
and pieced animal motifs sent by Jan from Chinchilla, held here by Cynthia..
a large sixteen patch quilt and one using half square triangles.
Liz has also used small scraps to effect with contrasting sashing.
Both Liz and Glorianne have used the quilt-as-you-go technique to effect.
Only one appliqued quilt was displayed this month- maker unknown.
For girls there was a Wonder Woman quilt by Glorianne and for boys, a cowboy themed rag quilt by Wendy.
President Kaye brought in supplies of polar fleece that can easily be made into warm but lightweight rugs for particular needs.

Several small items were shared: fleece scarves made by Rosemary and modelled by Dee,
Julie K was among the first to complete a top-down cardigan based on a pattern distributed by Kaye recently.
Next meeting will be on Monday, 31 July from 9.30am.
