September gave us another lovely chance to catch up, share ideas and work on items for the people and community groups we support. Thank you to everyone who brought along finished pieces, helped at the meeting or contributed materials. Every contribution is appreciated.

Guest Speaker: Specialist Seniors Lawyer ⚖️

Russell Faulkner

This month, we welcomed Russell, a lawyer specialising in matters affecting older people. He acknowledged that this stage of life can bring new challenges and encouraged us to take time to reassess our needs and learn skills to manage change. He also outlined important documents and legal protections to consider when planning for the future. 📄

Thank you, Russell, for giving us plenty to think about. ⚖️ 

Coming Up 📅🧵

Our Activity Day is on 12 October, with three activities to enjoy: crochet, block quilts and QAYG (quilt as you go). Bring along your enthusiasm for a day of making things together! 🧶✂️

Then it’s time for our annual Sunshine Linus Retreat at Bribie Island, from 23–26 November. It’s a lovely chance to catch up, enjoy some sewing time and finish those projects waiting for attention before the year ends! 🏝️🪡
