Back in March on a windy and stormy Sunday morning, Lyn chanced
across a quilt show in Healesville - Victoria arranged by the Patchwork
Collections Friendship Group Yarra Valley. These quilters contribute to the
Victorian Quilters Snuggle Quilts Program. Below are some of the more spectacular quilts that were on display.
Victorian Quilters Inc. concentrate on delivering quilts to
children with a chronic life threatening illness who are patients at the Royal
Children’s Hospital, through the Victorian Quilters’ Very Snuggly Quilt
Auxiliary.
Below are quilts typical of those donated to the Snuggle Quilt
hospital program.

Closer to home a number of Linus members found time to visit the
Quota Quilt Show at Maleny on the weekend of the 5th and 6th
of May and the Mountain Quilters Club Inc Quilt Show at Peachester on the
weekend of the 12th and 13th of May which just happened
to coincide with the Mother’s Day weekend, lucky me!
On display at the Quota Quilt Show were a number of magnificent
quilts designed and made by local quilter Dianne Johnson.

beautifully executed machine thread-work quilts at the Mountain Quilters Show.
Of course there were raffles, spot prizes, demonstrations and lots
of yummy things to eat at both shows, and of course it was very difficult to
resist visiting the selection of booths selling all those ‘quilting goodies’.
The theme at the Mountain Quilters this year was 'All about the Blokes'.
Dee was at both shows with her ‘Blockopedia’ booth.
