Wow, what a great roll-up for our first meeting of the year! About 40 ladies turned up this morning all rearing to go, and bringing fabulous completed items for distibution, too.
We welcomed many new faces today, too, including ladies from Mountain Quilters of Peachester, and ladies from Little Mountain, Bli Bli, Palmwoods and Nambour. I'm sorry I haven't remembered names - I'll try to do better next time.
There seems to have been a jungle theme to some of the quilts that came today, which matched perfectly with the humid atmosphere that we're having after all the rain!

By the end of the day we had 4 quilts and 4 cushions to go to Katie Rose Cottage Hospice, 25 quilts and some knitted teddies and beanies for Lions Emergency Accommodation Centre, 53 quilts for the Salvation Army Women's Refuge in Chermside, and 12 tote bags, 20 comfort bags and 30 teddies to Gifts 4 Kids In Care.
That's a total of 82 quilts - what a great start to the year!
