Event Reminder

Activity Day - 10 June - 9.00 am - 12.00

 Our next activity day we have plenty to chose from:

Sharon will be showing several methods to construct Quilt As You Go quilts (QAYG)You will need to bring 2 1/2" strips of fabric, 4 1/2" squares, backing fabric cut into size that you want finished block eg 12" and batting the same size as the finished block.

Jenny D will be again holding crocheting workshops for those interested.

Sue will be sorting the supply cupboard, also the fabric tubs will be sorted.

Come along and get to meet some new friends. 

Monthly Meeting - 27 May

Another beautiful sunny day helped to make for a productive and creative meeting.  The sales table once again provided an abundance of craft items and fresh produce.




 

An appreciative Charlotte from Riding for the Disabled who received a special quilt made especially for her. 



Barbara showed an alternative hat for cancer patients made from interlock/ribbing. She has additional patterns.

Monthly Meeting - 29 April

IMPORTANT - Distribution of Member's Contact Details

At next month's meeting there will be a printed list of all members with their name, phone No., email address, suburb and if they have indicated they are happy for their details to be distributed to other members. Can you please check your entry to make sure you are still happy to have your details distributed or not.  Remember this list will be distributed to all members.

Special Request from Sewing Group

  • If making double draw string bags the suggested sizes are:

12" x 14", 10" x 12",  8"x 10" and 4" x 4" and using butcher's tape or venetian blind chord. (The sewing group have a small quantity of tape and chord available if required).

  • The current Wheelie Walker pattern is too small for walkers that are used today.  Suggested size is 17" x 18" with 3 outside pockets and ties (20" x 3") and a piece of Velcro on the top of bag to close, the pattern is currently being altered for the blog.
