First Meeting for 2022 Is Going Ahead!

Hi Everyone, for those of you who haven't heard the February meeting will go ahead as planned on Monday 28th February. We will still be operating under restricted conditions this first meeting so remember to book your timeslot with Judie B, wear a mask, bring your coffee cup and gold coin donation. This will be the first chance this year to drop off your donated items and restock on much needed supplies so don't miss this opportunity! 

For those of you who would like to renew your annual membership, a reminder that the registration and membership fee is due. A membership form for 2022 should be completed and forwarded to Sharon H, our Membership Secretary, at sunshinelinus@gmail.com or brought to our first meeting on Monday. The membership form can be found on the Blog page. A new calendar for 2022 is also available on the Blog page.

1st February 2022

Hi Everyone, hope you are keeping well and busy. Of course we can't wait until we are all able to meet again and hopefully that will be at the end of this month on Monday 28th February. In the meantime thought you might like to know about something that has been happening behind the scenes.

Last Friday Jenny D delivered a bounty of items for the Remote Nurses to Sue Thompson and met Ponee, the nurse she liaises with. The attached photo shows most of the items that were donated. As you can see members and friends went above and beyond to make suitable items!

Ponee is attending a conference for Remote Nurses before she returns to work and so she plans to share with the other attendees. What she can't get someone to carry in hand-luggage she will post.  Apparently the department have agreed to pay postage. Ponee is based on Thursday Island but the conference she is attending (and sharing the goodies) is from the whole surrounding area - Torres Strait and Cape York.

Thank you to everyone who contributed items. Be assured they were greatly appreciated and will be used to good effect.
